  The country that we choose is Kenya.

Kenya is a country located in Africa. Africa is a continent of the world. Kenya is an Eastern African Country.


Kenya borders with the north with Ethiopia, with the south with Tanzania, with the east with Somalia, to the west with Uganda, and South Sudan to the northwest, with the Indian Ocean bathing its southeast coast. The Kenya’s capital is Nairobi.


Kenya has size 360623,33473 square miles or 580367 km^2 of surface.


The climate average in Kenya is about 25,5 °C, IT is considered a tropical climate; In summer it rains a lot.The month when there are many flowers in kenya is in July.


The average population of Kenya is 39 million. About 70 percent of the population is rural, although this percentage has been decreasing as more Kenyans migrate to the cities in search of work.

The Kenyan flag has three horizontal stripes: red, black, and green.





The country has at least 40 different ethnic African groups. Kenya is also home of large populations of Europeans, Arabs, Indians and Pakistanis, many of whom came to the country in the 19th century.


The predominant religion in Kenya is Christianity, about 84.8% of the total population is christian. Islam is the second largest religion in Kenya, it is  practiced by about 9.7% of the total population. Other faiths practiced in Kenya are Baha'i, Buddhism, Hinduism and traditional religions.




Kenya’s music is often a mixture of African, Indian, European and American styles. One of the most popular forms of pop music is Benga, which combines traditional African drum and dance rhythms with modern electrical sounds and melodies.


Kenyan literature describes literature which comes from Kenya. Kenya has a long oral and written literary tradition, primarily in English and Swahili. Kenya has a strong tradition of oral literature, which continues today in several languages.The official language in kenya is the English and Kiswahili, it is a considered a mosaic of various tribal languages.


The maize is the staple food of Kenyans. It is ground into flour and prepared as a porridge called posho, which is sometimes mixed with mashed beans, potatoes, and vegetables, to make a dish called irio.


Another popular meal is a beef stew called ugali.

Kenya's economy has suffered from inefficiency and government corruption

Government. Kenya is divided into seven provinces and one area. The president is both chief of state and head of the government. He is chosen from among the members of the National Assembly, and is elected by popular vote for a five-year term. The president appoints both a vice-president and a cabinet. The term is the unicameral National Assembly, or Bunge. It consists of 222 members, twelve appointed by the president and the rest elected by popular vote.


The currency of Kenya is Shilling (Kes). The currency can be changed with any currency.

The main tourist attractions are photo safaris through the 19 national parks and game reserves. Other attractions include the mosques at Mombasa; the renowned scenery of the Great Rift Valley; the coffee plantations at Thika; a view of Mt. Kilimanjaro across the border into Tanzania; and the beaches along the Indian Ocean.

One important person in Kenya is Jomo Kenyatta. He was born in 1897 in Gatundu Kenya. He Was a Kenyan anticolonial activist and politician. He governed Kenya from 1963 to 1978. He led office Kenya and Africa union. Ideologically an African nationalist, and conservator. He Studied at London school of economics, college le London. Kenyatta was a divisive figure.He is the father of the nation and was dictatorial and authoritarian.

Uhuru Kenyatta is a Kenyan politician. He is the president from 2013? He Is the son of Jomo Kenyatta. He Was born in Nairobi in 1961.

Challenges
Population in Kenya has been on the increase-uncontrollably-for the past few years. This was mainly seen in rural areas.
The most vulnerable citizens in Kenya are children.
Great part of the population in Kenya are displaced specially children, many do not have the opportunity for a good education.
